Dr Ian Player, legendary nature conservationist credited with saving the White Rhino from extinction, suffered a serious stroke with complications on Thursday morning, 20th November 2014. He is comfortably at home in the Karkloof, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he is supported by his wife, Ann, and immediate family members.
The family are most grateful for the well-wishes they have received but request privacy during this period.
An update will be issued as soon as there is any change in 87 year old, Dr Player’s condition.
A grateful thanks from all for your concern, tributes to Ian and caring support for Anne and the family.
Please send any wishes to Moyra Collyer icplayer@eastcoast.co.za who will pass them on to the family.
Dr Player,
I wish you a full and speedy recovery.
Regards
Leon
